United hopes to make several signings between now and the end of the summer transfer window, as well as an area that can be addressed in Ruben Amorim’s defensive choice. The Red Devils worked hard to get their goals out last season, so it’s no surprise to see more quality.
Amorim’s 3-4-3 system also requires a central defender who plays, so Manchester United will be eager to secure players who are suitable for this goal. Those who are particularly skilled are currently at the manager’s former club Sporting CP.
United have been linked to many sports athletes in recent months – not surprising considering Amorim’s connection. They will officially miss Viktor Gyokeres, but their teammates may have good luck.
Man United asks about the availability of Goncalo Inacio
According to Bola, Man United is interested in signing Goncalo Inacio, and they launched an investigation to find out possible transaction conditions. The 23-year-old, who has 16 hats in Portugal, is believed to be able to charge a fee in the £43 million (€50 million) region.
Inacio, which also contacted Liverpool in recent weeks, will be a well-suited Amorim system as the left-side central defender, with problems over the past 6-12 months due to the poor form of Lisandro Martinez. In this regard, he is the one that Manchester United should sign, although any deal may depend on the player leaving Old Trafford first.
United are trying to reach a deal with Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, but they may make serious moves for Inacio once it’s done as expected. Given his age and performance level, £43 million worth will also be worth the money.
