Narváez knows something about the Astros organization. He signed a minor league contract with Houston last June, a move that came weeks after he was released by the Mets. He only reached .196 times in 42 games at Sugar Land and never received a major league call. Narváez hasn’t hit much in the MLB or third-level A level over the past few seasons, but Astros clearly sees him as a defender and clubhouse presence.
