Cincinnati Open: Jannik Sinner

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner beat Gabriel Diallo with a fire alarm and entered the fourth round of the Cincinnati Open.

The alarm began to sound and the lights began to flash in the second game of the second set, but the two agreed to play after a few minutes of delay.

Sinner, 23, still kept the composition and booked his seat with a 6-2 7-6 (8-6) victory against the Canadian.

“It was a very difficult day in the office,” Sina said.

“You have to find a balance with these big servers. I sometimes struggle with it.

“But I need such a tough game, I’m glad I’m in [US Open] Grand Slam. ”
