China Open: Katie Boulter and Cameron Norrie Export

Boulter made the UK to the semifinals of the Billie Jean King Cup by a statement last week, failing to improve in the U.S. Open round after her Wimbledon lost a second round for Lucky Loser Solana Sierra.
At Wimbledon, Norrie finished with the final eight in professional for the first time in three years, but finalist Carlos Alcaraz beat him at the U.S. Open at the time, and unfortunately “overconfidence” left him in a fierce match against four-time champion Novak Djokovic.
Elsewhere in Beijing, Coco Gauff’s title defense continued with a 6-4 6-0 victory, bringing Russia’s Kamilla Rakhimova past the last 32 times.
In the next round, the world third will face Canadian Leylah Fernandez, who also won a major victory, sending Greece’s Maria Sakkari 6-2 6-0.
