Chelsea is reportedly preparing for a potential transfer of surprises by Liverpool Central defender Ibrahima Konate.

According to Chelsea News, the Blues had just lost Levi Colwill and were seriously injured and are now said to have taken ambitious moves to sign rival Liverpool.

The French international has been a key player for Liverpool, but is now in its final year of contract with the Reds.

This could mean that the pressure to sell Konate this summer is to avoid losing him for free in a year.

It seems unlikely that Liverpool will sell a major player like Konate to Chelsea, but the report suggests that the West London Giants will indeed try.

Enzo Maresca has received many exciting new signings this summer, with Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap and Jorrel Hato joining the game, but there is still more room for new defensiveness.

Hato is primarily a left-back, so a centre-back like Konate can provide much-needed upgrades to the CFC, with slightly convincing performers like Trevoh Chalobah, Tosin adarabioyo, Benoit Badiasshile and injured Wesley Wesley Fofana.

Konate may be waiting for Real Madrid

Konate is still Real Madrid’s goal Attracted by the side Previous reports have remained to be seen whether he will choose Chelsea now.

Perhaps it is more likely that Konate will wait until the contract is over and will freely go to the place he likes next summer to make a decision.

Chelsea would have a good time winning the 26-year-old’s signature match, but it might not be the easiest deal if it involves elite names like Madrid.
