Chelsea is now fighting the Spurs to sign £39m ‘Legend’
A draw against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon could bring a slight damper to Chelsea, but it’s still a great moisture for Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca’s side has finally returned to the Champions League and, based on what we’ve seen in the summer, it looks like they are probably one of the most dangerous teams in the Premier League.
Additionally, as the transmission window is still open in less than two weeks, the Blues have enough time to become stronger.
Xavi Simons is Xavi Simons, one of the most touted players is Xavi Simons, and although the West Londoner is now connected to a more important signing man, he is also connected to cross-city rival Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea Race Spurs More Important Signatures than Simmons
Despite sporadic reports of moving Simmons to Chelsea for a few years, they began to really rise to Steam earlier this summer.
Since then, there have been steady stories touting the RB Leipzig star’s move to Stamford Bridge, and although it seems unlikely at times, it seems like it’s just a matter of time now.
But while the Dutch is a very talented attacker, amassing 19 goals in 33 games last season, the Blues are now working on who will be a more important signing.
At least this is based on a recent report from Spain that claims Chelsea is still very interested in Piero Hincapié.
However, the West Londoner isn’t the only one interested in the ambitious centre-back, as Tottenham Hotspur is also racing to secure his signature.
In addition to beating North Londoners, Chelsea also has to pay more than €45 million, about £39 million, which is certainly a lot, but it is worth it, especially since Hincapié will be more important than Simons.
Why Hincapié is more important than Simons
Now, Simmons will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the Chelsea side, as he has proven his ability as a winger and ten over the past few seasons.
But at this point in time and for the foreseeable future, we would say that Sinkapier will be more of a game changer for the Blues, one of the main reasons why it attributes to the team’s makeup.
For example, while they did have a bit of blunt performance against the Palace on Sunday, the conference league champions have a wealth of exciting and dynamic offensive talent in the team.
Additionally, we still haven’t seen people like Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens probably be able to play a Premier League match under Maresca.
By contrast, Argentina’s defensive choices are starting to look a little thin, especially with Levi Colwill likely playing this season, while tosin asarabioyo missed the game over the weekend.
Additionally, while the exciting Jorrel Hato might be the perfect solution a few years later, it is unfair and unwise to throw him deep at the age of 19 and not have the experience of playing in the top five leagues.
The second reason for the Leverkusen star is that the team’s important addition is that in addition to a solid defense, he is also an excellent passer and carrier of the ball, which should help make a big difference in accumulating games.
According to FBREF, he ranked in the top five centre-backs in Europe’s top five leagues, earning non-racer expected goals plus assists, crosses entered the top 2% in the penal zone, top 5% in progress attacks, major 6% in key passes and more.
Finally, with talent scout Jacek Kulig calling him, the “Ecuadorian football legend” with his belt as “Ecuadorian football legend” will bring real expertise and maturity, which may be the season for silverware challenges this season, which may be crucial.

Ultimately, Simmons will be a great addition to Chelsea’s side, but for our money, the signing this summer will be a more important signing.
