Charley Hull misses $1.46 million in spending

A full performance was held at Royal Porthcawl, with the AIG Women’s British Open raising the bar, and a full performance was held at Royal Porthcawl.
In a historic women’s golf achievement, R&A announced a record $9.75 million wallet for the 2025 Open, the latest year for South Wales’ iconic Royal Porthcawl Golf Club.
The event’s wallets are increasing every year, with the next $10 million hurdles exceeding as activity this weekend increases by $750,000 from 2024.
The AIG and R&A partnership, founded in 2019, proves the revolutionary nature of women’s golf – the historic bets have produced landmark champions.
Japan’s 24-year-old Miyu Yamashita was built in her 2025 season to occupy the Virgin’s LPGA title and the title champion at Porthcawl.
She ended her first win ruthlessly, finishing the game with a 68-65-74-70 win, hitting an eight-point shooting percentage and winning a historic major title, and missing out on the layoffs in last year’s game.
And if it wasn’t enough to end a major tournament, her victory would have won the biggest winner check in tournament history: $1,462,500.
Charley Hull so far
Charley Hull of England and Minami Katsu of Japan were second only to the champion, fighting ongoing battles to share runner-up honors in a lasting battle, each winning the championship with $772,391.
For Hull, it marks her fifth top three as her edge gets closer to the highly anticipated major crown.
Lim Kim and Rio Takeda tied for fourth with -7, with $452,217 per person and were a hit in the top championship game.
Lottie Woad is a pre-match hope that has only recently become a career, leading four points in the UK star’s $228,359 prize and finishing eighth.
