Scottie Scheffler gets a huge boost ahead of $40 million travel tournament

World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler will bring his regular caddie, Ted Scott, back to his bag this weekend for the finale of the FedEx Cup playoffs.
Scott has been with Scheffler for 17 wins over the past four seasons, including four majors, missed the final round of the FedEx St. Jude title after an unexpected leave due to urgent personnel matters.
Scheffler continued his epic rise by winning the BMW title at Caves Valley Golf Club in the second week without Scott’s help.
He used stuffed caddies and good friend Brad Payne in the final round of the Fedex St. Jude Championship and used pastor Michael Cromie at the BMW Championship.
Scheffler was initially unsure of the availability of the tour tournament at Scott’s East Lake golf course that began Thursday.
“Ted is where he needs it now,” Schevler said. “I think Caddying is probably the last thing he thought. I’ve been able to talk to him a few times. The family is full of energy. Everyone seems to be doing well.”
But Scott is now signed for the Tour champion on the PGA Tour Player List and is expected to take action again.
Scott discusses how he connects with Scheffler in episode 4 of Netflix’s Flow Swift Season 3.
“Basically, a friend of mine approached me and said, ‘You’re going to get a call from a very good player.’
“This guy is really good. It’s really good.” I’ve never really met Scottie except we played with him in the New Orleans Championships, and I saw him a little naughty, you know that’s one of the questions I called me.
“I said, ‘I don’t know if I want to work for you because of your attitude.’ When I asked him this question, he said, “It’s a fair question and I’m willing to work on it.” “All I need is some hope, I’m willing to fall behind anyone.
