Australian Open introduces million dollars, featuring Carlos Alcaraz

Organizers have not stated exactly how the event works, but are expected to follow a format similar to this year’s version.
Professionals are allowed to serve once and twice – as well as the norm in traditional tennis.
While it’s unclear how the draw works, there will be five knockout rounds, and the venue will be Rod Laver Arena instead of the smaller Kia Arena.
The final stage will be held at night meetings instead of 1pm local time.
Any Australian or international player registered in an Australian tennis match can compete in the “Little Slam” match at a local tennis club.
The winner of the grassroots tournament will then enter a draw, with an amateur player from each state and region selected for the “Big Finale” in a night meeting on Wednesday, January 14.
Qualifying matches will also be held in December, with amateurs, lower professions, celebrities and sports stars available to enter.
It begins on Monday, January 12, with two winners joining eight other amateurs and 10 professionals for Wednesday’s “The Finale”.
