Cases vs. Clippers, Jazz’s three-team deal won by Norman Powell

The Los Angeles Clippers, Utah Jazz and Miami Heat have agreed to send Norman Powell to Miami, John Collins, Los Angeles, Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson, and the 2027 Clippers second-round pick to the Jazz band, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania Charania.

Powell, 32, almost won his first All-Star last season. In the All-Star Game, Powell averaged 24.2 points with 49.6% shooting from the field and 42.8% from three-point shooting.
However, his work fell after suffering a right knee injury in late February and a right hamstring problem in March.
In 2024-25 60 games (all starts), he averaged a career-high 21.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals and 32.6 minutes of games, while shooting 48.4%, 41.8% in games outside of ARC.
Powell is in the final year of his contract, and he undoubtedly paid $19.2 million last season. He is eligible for a four-year contract this summer, with a $128.5 million extension.

Calories show interest in John Collins
NBA insider Jake Fischer reported last week that Miami expressed interest in Collins, who had exercised a $26.6 million option with the Jazz in the final year of his deal.
Collins turned 28 in September, started the 2024-25 campaign on the bench and then injured, and the Jazz’s starting lineup opened a starting point for him.
Despite playing only 40 games last season (31 games) due to an ankle injury, Collins still averaged 19 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 30.5 minutes of play, while the floor hit 39.9% while the floor scored 39.9% in the depths.
The 6-foot-9 Collins is the only player in the 2024-25 league, with a floor shooting over 50% and a distance of more than 39% from the arc, averaging steals and one block per game.
Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson vs. Miami with limited time
Meanwhile, Love averaged 5.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in 23 games last season. Five-time All-Star selection will enter his 18th NBA season in 2025-26.
Love signed a multi-year contract with Miami last July. According to Spotac, he earned $3.85 million in revenue in 2024-25 and plans to earn $4.15 million in 2025-26.
Anderson, 31, was acquired in a deal with the Golden State Warriors last season. After the deal, he averaged 6.7 points, 3.8 boards and 2.6 corners in 25 games.
UCLA products will make $9.21 million next season and $9.65 million in 2026-27.
