Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will attempt to extend their Grand Slam dominance at January’s Australian Open, with the pair set to headline the 2026 Melbourne hard-court Grand Slam entry list.

PIF ATP No. 1 Alcaraz and No. 2 Sinner have won the men’s singles title at the last eight Grand Slam tournaments. The winning streak dates back to Sinner’s first Grand Slam title at the 2024 Australian Open, and the Italian will arrive in Melbourne in January chasing his third consecutive title at the first major of the 2025 season.

2025 Melbourne finalist Alexander Zverev is third on the field, followed by record 10-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic. The Serbian has reached the semi-finals of all four Grand Slam tournaments in 2025 and is aiming for a record 25th Grand Slam men’s singles title.

Felix Auger-Aliassime, Tyler Fritz, Lorenzo Musetti and Ben Shelton are the other top 10 stars on the shortlist, with world number 15 Holger Ruhn, who is recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon, the only player missing from the top 100. World number seven Alex de Minaur will lead Australia’s charge on home soil. De Minaur reached the quarter-finals for the first time in 2025 at Melbourne Park.
