Canadians’ Edge Penguins Start Preseason in Gunfight – Hockey Writer – NHL News

Everyone might see Montreal Canadian striker Ivan Demidov, but some other Habs’ prospects have turned to the trend of Monday night, supporting the home court instead. First, goalkeeper Jacob Fowler defeated the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins in a 2-1 shootout to open the preseason for both teams.
Game review
Fowler prevented Avery Hayes from winning the same score after Oliver Kapanen led the Canadians 2-1 in the shootout. Sean Farrell won first place in the third round of gunfight with goalkeeper Sergei Murashov, who was outstanding in the game, scoring 19 saves in 20 shots and deflecting the puck in the initial shot.
Penguin forward Tristan Broz then immediately responded to Sully Fowler’s perfect night. In Kapanen backhanded Deke played the final of the night, he played other full scoreless rounds.
One of the better performances for anyone on the night is about the 2021 second round pick. He showed a quick hand and faster release to get it ahead of Fowler in the gunfight. He also made a strong effort and commitment with Valtteri Puustinen in the first stage.
Canadians starter Sam Montembeault allowed the goal to score with a flawless 20 save performance as he kept his flat-footed team in it early on. The game may end with just a three-goal difference (34-31 Penguins), but in the half-time of Montembeault, the Habs went well beyond and surpassed the church, and only after the battle between Jared Davidson and Samuel Davidson and Samuel Davidson and Samuel Poulin, really survived with the Racing Team (Samuel) after the battle between Jared Davidson and Jareuel Davidson and Samuel Poulin, to the squad. The battle between Poulin (and the goalkeepers are on Murashov, with Joel of Murashov accompanying Joel of Murashov, and Joel of Murashov joining with Joel of Murashov.
At about 17:00 on the second time, Canadian strikers Brendan Gallagher and Jake Evans were useless. Earlier in the third time, Murashov took a few shots to get the potential – Owen Beck to win the Habs board results. Technically, the Canadians were wasting their second two-man’s night advantage, and Baker scored after Ryan Graves left the free throw box (because he held Kapanin). Baker further made the team a team while recording four shots, two blocks and three hits (and goals), and ironically, Kapanin stood on his way.

Although Demidov got most of the attention and entered the spotlight with a frontline ice time and won the Canadiens well for the second straight memorial trophy (Lane Hutson), he was quiet all night. That is, if you ignore the noise of whenever you hit the puck for the fifth time in 2024, the crowd can understand it.
Demidov’s best chance was in a few seconds of overtime in dying seconds, when offseason Noah Dobson provided him with hockey puck, putting on a mat with Murashov, leading to a gunfight (he even just opened up Murashov), and ended up being a happy master. After all, even if none of them were named Demidov, they had won the prospects of several Habs and impressive performances.
Canadians continue their preseason schedule as they host Philadelphia Flyer Tuesday. Next, the Penguin faces the Columbus blue jacket on Wednesday road.
