Wimbledon 2025 results: Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool become the first British to win a men’s doubles title in the open era

Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool made history by becoming the first pair to win the men’s tag team championship at Wimbledon.
The two beat Australian Rinky Hijikata and Dutchman David Pel to win the Virgin Grand Slam title 6-2 7-6 (7-3).
Cash Glasspool, 28 and 31, has become the first pair to reach the finals since Mike Davies and Bobby Wilson in 1960.
But it was the first time since Pat Hughes and Raymond Tuckey in 1936 that two British men were crowned champions.
“We have two goals – one is to go to Turin [ATP Finals] The other is winning the Grand Slam. ” Cash said after the exciting game.
“To do it here, that means more.”
“We will never forget the whole life of this day,” Glaspur added.
There was some silent celebration before Cash sent the next incredible overhead smash to secure the victory, then the two turned to their coach box and raised their fists.
Later, they celebrated their third pasture championship of the season, cruising the trophy on the court after having achieved success in Queens and Eastbourne last month.
