Caitlin Clark with fever

Indiana fever guard Caitlin Clark is expected to miss at least two weeks because of the left quadriceps strain. There is no confirmation when the injury was injured.
Clark lost 90-88 on Saturday afternoon to New York’s free agency for the last time. She played 38 minutes in that game, ending with 18 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds. She only shot 6 from 18 goals, including one-third of three-pointers.
The 23-year-old has recently scored an incredible winning streak in 140 games, with at least one three-pointer. The streak extends to her college days with Hawkeye, Iowa.
Clark averaged 19.0 points, 9.3 assists and 6.0 rebounds this season. She is the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year and became an all-WNBA team last season.
In her absence, fever will be a tough thing, especially considering that the Commissioner Cup (WNBA Season Championship) will begin on Tuesday, June 3.
Of course, the comfort is that it is not a major injury and is still early in the season.
Fever hopes to rely on the depth of Clark’s absence
Fever head coach Stephanie White spoke in the media during practice Monday, highlighting the depth of the team.
Steph White said Caitlin Clark reported four-round myalgia after free play. She received an MRI and was diagnosed with limbs, which had nothing to do with her pre-season injury.

“This is our advantage of depth,” White said. “Sophie [Cunningham] Early injury. I think that’s the advantage of the depth we’ve added in the offseason. We’re equipped. Of course, we would rather be sooner or later than later. This is a great opportunity to find identity, and it is a huge opportunity for our team to play in different ways.
“I also think it’s a great opportunity for Caitlyn to watch the game from the outside and almost grow a coach’s mindset. See some different things we might talk about in movies and practices – see it in live action.”
Indiana’s first show of the opportunity without Clarke will be against Washington Mystics on Wednesday.
