The Chicago Bulls reportedly may be the destination for Golden State Warriors restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga, as they have re-signed Josh Giddey.
Bulls remain a potential landing point for Jonathan Kuminga
NBA insider Jake Fischer reported Friday that the signature deal “doesn’t seem very reasonable” because “the Bulls simply don’t have the Warriors looking for an upcoming trade that will be coming for the 22-year-old.”
However, Fischer also mentioned that no one should “sack Chicago completely as a future landing point” because there is a sufficient salary cap expected next summer.
“These factors are one of the factors that have the Kumingga camp [Cam] Thomas went to accept the $7.9 million eligibility proposal for Golden State that expired on October 1. ” he wrote.
A report last month showed that there had been an “updated” conversation between the Warriors and Kumingga as both sides remained in a deadlock.
During occurrence Today’s NBA Last month, ESPN’s Anthony Slater said Kuminga and his representatives were seeking a multi-year contract from the Warriors, making the former first-round competitor more of a “basis” than a simple trade chip.

Kuminga prefers signing eligible offers
Despite these negotiations, the Warriors didn’t change their two-year, $45 million contract to Cushinga, while the 6-foot-8 wings showed that a $7.9 million qualified offer was more attractive to him.
The new deal has a 2nd grade team option and is granted the right to approve the deal in Year 1 of Kuminga.
More importantly, Kuminga tends to sign eligible quotes because it includes no trade terms. The veteran forward doesn’t want to trade in the mid-season and he’s still looking for player choice.
“The word I heard from the Kubinga side was ‘chess pieces’,” Slater reported. “He didn’t want to sign up for this two-year $45 million team choice, and he was obviously just used to being traded mid-season. That’s not what he wanted to sign up for.
“Now, if you’re talking about a three-year contract, if you’re talking about something with a player option to show his more commitment, that’s what he’s interested in.
“But so far the Warriors have been hesitating to do so, so Kumingga sent a signal to those around him that he was very willing–liked- [to sign] Qualifying is in a two-year $45 million deal. This is dangerous for the warriors. They could try to call him a bluff, but for now, it seems to be heading towards a qualified offer trend. ”
The Bulls can indeed use young players like Kuminga after trading DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso, Lonzo Ball and Zach Lavine, especially considering the 35-year-old Nikola Vucevic Turn next month.
