The Spurs are believed to be on the verge of welcome Gibbs-White to North London, Frank’s second major signing for £55m converted from West Ham on Thursday night.
The 25-year-old even plans to do medical treatment at Hotspur Way on Friday, with Daniel Levy preparing to trigger his £60m offering clause. But, as Sky Sports’s Rob Dorsett reported, Forest’s complaints against the Premier League threaten now the transfer.

“About Morgan Gibbs – White. Nottingham Forest reported the Spurs to the Premier League this afternoon to achieve an illegal attitude and threaten legal action,” wrote Ben Jacobs, a journalist at X.
“The Spurs have received communications asking them to stop contacting Gibbs-white. Forest declined to comment, but sources said the club believe the Spurs have taken advantage of Gibbs-white and could challenge the £60 million clause. The Premier League will now investigate the problems that have led to delays in the deal and potential doubts.”
In more positive news for supporters, some reliable media sources expect that the forest will ultimately be powerless to stop the deal, so it may just have to wait for Gibbs White to officially move him from the urban ground to north London.
