Bucks are afraid of Damian Lillard

Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard is believed to have suffered a left-wing tear in Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers. NBA insider Chris Haynes first reported.

Midway through the first quarter, Lillard stepped forward to the offensive rebound near the three-point line. As he pounded Gary Trent in the corner, he immediately fell to the ground and grabbed the back of his left ankle. He stayed on the floor as the Pacers rushed off the court.

“They're going to make an image tomorrow, obviously lower leg,” Bucks head coach Doc Rivers said after the game. “To be honest, it's not very hopeful.”

Lillard was missed before the time Lillard was diagnosed with a blood clot in his right leg, and it was a cruel month.

“It's a tough thing to be honest,” Rivers said. “The blood clot, followed by the tough one. That's why you have teammates and family around you. He's such a great weird guy. At the basketball level, and more importantly, being a teammate, dad and all of that stuff.”

“I've seen injuries deflate the team, but tonight, it's an injury. I thought our guy tried it, but it's tough.”

The Bucks collapsed without Lillard

With Lillard's mix, the offensive struggles remained.

Indiana did his homework after suffering a huge loss in Game 3, and the homework here is clearer. It was a three-pointer when Lillard was injured and the Pacers continued to win 129-103.

Giannis Antetokounmpo did everything he had with 28 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and steals. Kyle Kuzma, Brook Lopez and Gary Trent Jr. Lillard scored no points in six minutes.

Kevin Porter Jr. scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists on the bench.

Without Lillard, the Bucks face a daunting task of trying to keep their season alive in Game 5.

Indiana will be attending the host of the game at 6:00 a.m. ET.
