Five ATP Challengers were named tournaments of the year in their respective categories. The winner of the Challenger 175 class (the largest class on the circuit) was BNP Paribas Primrose Bordeaux.
Challenger 175 Annual Championship – BNP Paribas Primrose Bordeaux, Bordeaux, France
The Bordeaux Challenger is a clay court event held in the second week of the ATP Masters 1000 event in Rome, so it will naturally draw an outstanding entry list. This year, all eight seeds are in the top 80 of the PIF ATP Rankings, including eventual champion Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.
The Challenger 175 tournament, held at the historic Villa Primrose in Bordeaux in southwest France, is famous for more than just its draw. The BNP Paribas Bordeaux Primrose Hotel is renowned for its first-class hospitality to players and fans.
“We are extremely honored to receive this trophy, which recognizes the hard work we have put in over the years to develop the Primrose Bordeaux Championship in Paris, France,” said tournament director Jean-Baptiste Perlant. “We sincerely thank the ATP and the players who support our event.
“I would like to share this with all staff, volunteers, members and partners of Villa Primrose to thank them for their invaluable help.”

“We are extremely honored to receive the ATP Challenger Award 2025,” said Tournament Director Mohammed Al Sayed. “We view this award as an important milestone in the development of tennis in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The vast organizational team, led by the visionary Minister of Interior, His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, is leaving no stone unturned to host world-class athletes and officials from 2021-2025.
“We thank the ATP for its continued trust and support. We look forward to a successful fifth edition in January 2026.”
Challenger 100 – Cranbrook Tennis Classic, Bloomfield Hills, MI
The Cranbrook Tennis Classic is the first U.S. event to win the ATP Challenger Championship of the Year award. Titled this season by Estonian Mark Lajal, Bloomfield Hills attracted record crowds and firmly established itself as a summer hotspot on the ATP Challenger calendar.
“This award is a testament to the fans, sponsors and volunteers who make the Cranbrook Tennis Classic so special,” said tournament director David DeMuth. “We appreciate the players’ passion and commitment to exposing our community to world-class tennis. This only inspires us to continue our success.”
Challenger 75 – International Tennis Cup, Curitiba, Brazil
The Curitiba International Tennis Cup highlights Brazilians’ growing interest in tennis. The clay-court tournament was held in October and was well-received for its organization and atmosphere. Adolfo Daniel Vallejo of Paraguay won this year’s competition.
“The selection of 75 players as ATP Challengers of the Year for 2025 is a historic achievement for Brazilian tennis,” said tournament director Danilo Marcelino. “Curitiba Challengers is the result of an extremely dedicated team, full of passion and professionalism. The Bolivia Open continues to go above and beyond by winning the ATP Challenger Award for the third consecutive year. The Bolivia Open is the most popular tournament among South American players, with Argentina’s Alex Barrena lifting the trophy in June.
“I would like to thank the ATP for recognizing the Bolivia Open as the annual ATP Challenger 50 tournament. This is a huge honor for our country,” said event organizer Carolina Poehlmann.
“God always comes first and I am deeply grateful to my family, our sporting director Diego Manrique, all the players who believed in our tournament, my team and the Santa Cruz Tennis Club for opening their doors to us. This award belongs to Bolivia. We will continue to work with passion and grow.”
Manrique added: “I would like to thank my entire team and the Santa Cruz Tennis Club Board of Directors for organizing this wonderful event for us.
