Postecoglou calls the game “surreal” and “the closest companion” flying around from Australia
Ange Postecoglou said managers who have no managers to the European finals will be challenged as much as those who have led Tottenham Hotspur to this season's Europa League decision makers.
In the top flight of 2024/25, only three relegated teams lost more than the Spurs, but if they beat Manchester United at Bilbao on May 21, the 16-year-old will beat Champions League football next season, and Postecoglou said he will show great pride here that he will be such a Greek-Australian to achieve this performance.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Man United
The Spurs were in the fourth inning after a 20th league defeat at home on Sunday, making them the lowest since the start of the Hyundai Premier League in 1992/93, and the Spurs had their lowest position since the start of the first-class relegation in 1976/77.
Manchester United is a little higher than Tottenhams outside the relegation zone.
He advised: “When you are an outlier – it’s not a common thing, and it’s natural to see people like me in this position.
“I think I’ve got the right here and all the successes I’ve won are valid success. But because it’s not yet arrived in Europe’s regular quarters and people have simple reference points here, you’re always going to be questioned.
“I don’t think there will be another manager going to the European final and having as much skepticism as I do.
“If you’re very disdainful of what I’ve done, I’m not much here.
“If they can bring this trophy home, they will be remembered at this football club”

Between 1978 and 1993, Australia-captured Postecoglou spent his entire career in South Melbourne and led the club's first management position from 1996 to 2000.
After seven years as Australian coach in youth, he won the spell with Greek club Panachaiki and Australian teams Whittlesea Zebras, Brisbane Roar and Melbourne, and then managed Australia from 2013 to 2017.
The front defender moved to Yokohama F Marinos until 2021 and the Scottish giant Celtic until 2023 to replace Antonio Conte as Tottenham Hotspur manager.
Champion Trophy, Title
Postecoglou, who has won two Australian titles, tends to win trophys in his second season in charge of the club.
On an extensive silverware list, he won the Australian Youth Team title, Australia's title three times, top flights in Japan and Scotland.

The Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee was also named Australia's ten-year PFA manager in 2015 and won the Premier League Manager Award three times in the division's debut season.

Tottenham Hotspur won the first match in a 3-2 win over Wolves in the 1972 final until it was known as the UEFA Cup in 2009 – until 2009.
