In 2024, the Washington Commander won the conference championship 12-5. It was the team’s first victory over the first season since 1991. The commander is led by rookie QB Jayden Daniels.

He quickly changed the prospects of the franchise and made Washington a NFC contender. WR Terry McLaurin has one of the most productive seasons in the NFL with Daniels as QB. The 29-year-old will enter the final season of his three-year contract and qualify for an extension. But negotiations between the Commander and McLaurin’s agents stalled this offseason. McLaurin said in a conversation with the media on Tuesday that he wanted to be “a lot of clear” about his hopes of staying in Washington.

Will Terry McLaurin and Commander complete a long-term extension this summer?

Washington won a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, picking WR Terry McLaurin from Ohio State. The two times the Pro Bowler has started all 97 games in his six seasons. Recently, Terry McLaurin talked to the media about his frustration with the team. The former third-round draft pick said it was “disappointing” because there was no progress in getting a new contract. Additionally, McLaurin wanted to be “clear” that he wanted to be with the commander. McLaurin hopes to earn an average annual value of $30 million, the report said.
