Ben Chilwell leaves Strasbourg

England international defender Ben Chilwell officially completed the transfer to Strasbourg on the 1st side of Ligue, signing a two-year contract after leaving Chelsea, confirmed by the club’s official website.
The French club confirmed the move late Monday evening, although financial details of the agreement have not been made public.
Chilwell, 28, brings a lot of Premier League and European experience and has been a member of the Chelsea team since 2020.
During his first season at Stamford Bridge, he established a solid left-back who contributed both defense and offense.
Chilwell is part of Champions League win Chelsea team
His most famous achievement was in 2021, when he played a key role in Thomas Tuchel’s Champions League title campaign, one of the highest points of his career.
However, the past two years have been fruitful for the England defender. Continuous damage and increased competition gradually restricted his involvement, and he made only one appearance last season with Chelsea.
In January, Chilwell was on loan to Crystal Palace, where he enjoyed a mini dark tree to help Oliver Glasner’s team win the FA Cup.
Strasbourg is Chelsea’s sister club

Strasbourg’s signing for Chilwell is seen as part of the club’s strategy to strengthen the team with experienced international talent.
The club is owned by the Blueco consortium, which also controls Chelsea, and Chilwell is the latest in a range of players, available from Stamford Bridge to Alsace.
In Strasbourg, he will reunite with familiar faces from Chelsea Academy and senior teams and play under English head coach Liam Rosenior, who is passionate about integrating Chilwell’s leadership and top experience into his young, developing side.
