Bayern Munich finishes Louis Diaz

Bayern Munich announced the signing of striker Luis Díaz from Liverpool for £65m.
The Colombia international spent three and a half years at Anfield, helping the club win four major trophies, including last season’s Premier League title. He made 148 appearances for Liverpool in all games, scoring 41 goals and 23 assists.
But with Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz arriving in Merseyside this summer, boss Boss Arne Slot decided Diaz to move on freely, and the South Americans were eager to win against Bundesliga.
Diaz said: “I’m so glad that being part of Bayern Football Club means a lot to me – it’s one of the largest clubs in the world. I want to help my new team with my own playing football and personality. My goal is to win all possible championships – we’ll work on this team every day – for that.”
Diaz contacts Harry Kane and Michael Olise
Diaz will strengthen Arsenal’s offensive Arsenal, which includes Harry Kane, Kingsley Coman, Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry and currently injured Jamal Musiala.
It’s the third largest transfer in Bayern history, but sporting director Christoph Freund is excited to attract Diaz-quality players.
“Louis is dangerous, the shooter is a dangerous person, and he works a lot for the team,” he said on the club’s official website.
“He was quick, a versatile footballer and brought a strong way of playing. In addition, he has gained the highest experience in Liverpool and Colombia national teams. Luis Díaz represents a package that our fans love.”
Bayern CEO: We signed one of the best left-wing players in the Premier League
Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dresen added: “With Luis Díaz, we successfully signed one of the best left-wing players in the Premier League.
“As a team, we are able to jointly implement this transfer in a targeted manner and look forward to the top international players bringing important momentum to our team and enriching the Bundesliga. We thank Liverpool for always having fair and serious negotiations.”
