Spurs chase “one of the best LWs in the world”

Thomas Frank must have wanted to know the fuss. Managing Tottenham Hotspur isn’t that tricky, is it? Think about it.
The Spurs began their Premier League campaign by defeating Burnley and Manchester City back-to-back. They even led PSG 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup. But, the Spurs are always having a mini crisis around the corner.
While the crisis may push a little, their 1-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday did raise some alarm bells. Cherry took 20 photos. The Spurs had only five, which failed to create a big opportunity.
Well, the arrival of Xavi Simons should definitely help in this regard, but is there more to Lilywhites? Very likely.
Spurs transfer deadline plan
If there is an area that can be recruited during the dying time of the transfer window, it is attacking and you will feel that you can still find some kind of mass.
Many players, including Ademola Lookman and Savinho, have been touted, with both players looking to move ahead of the window grand slam.
Savinho in particular is pushing for a move to North London and is frustrated by Manchester City’s stance this summer.
OK, it seems like there is already queue. According to an independent report this Sunday, one player is said to be “looking” to AC Milan Winger Rafael Leao.
The report noted that the Spurs would “more prefer” to sign a winger before 7 p.m. on Monday, although Leo’s move is currently viewed as a difficult move.
Why Leo is as exciting as Simmons
After James Maddison was injured, the Spurs had to go out and sign another 10.
Their pursuit of Eberechi Eze failed, but it didn’t matter as far as Frank and Co were concerned. Simmons is now a Spurs player.
He unveiled in front of Tottenham supporters before beating Bournemouth, and he must have always hoped he would help his new teammates on the court.
Help is exactly what he will provide, especially from a creative perspective. He is also a shooter who can change this kind of Spurs offense.
In 2024/25, the former Leipzig man scored 11 goals and provided 8 assists. The young Dutchman was even better before the campaign, earning ten times and 15 assists.

However, Leao has been causing chaos over Champions League defense in recent years, which would be a more exciting addition.
In the words of data analyst Ben Mattinson, he is “one of the best left-wing players in the world.”
Why is this? Well, back in 2022, Milan coach Stefano Pioli said: “Leo reminded me a lot of early Thierry Henry, who started to be broad and then came in.”
It’s safe to say that he’s one of the most fascinating strikers in the world, which is backed by numbers. In 2024/25, the Portuguese winger scored 12 times and also provided 13 assists in all competitions. A year ago, the electric speed car scored 15 points and made 14 assists.
He is a duel threat full of speed, chaos and energy. In this sense, he is like a young Yang Lin’s son.
Over the past year, the 26-year-old has been in the top 4% of the top five leagues that have successfully broken up in Europe. He is so active that his ability to beat players and get into the back row will play side by side with Simons.
The Dutch International is a great takeover for the Spurs, but Leo is a real game changer. He has been one of the best wingers in European football for years and it will be the maverick forward Frank needs to really push this season domestically and on the mainland.
