Australian Open 2026: Great Britain’s Neil Skupski and Christian Harrison win men’s doubles title

British player Neal Skupski and American partner Christian Harrison teamed up to win the Australian Open men’s doubles title for the first time.
The 36-year-old Skupski and the 31-year-old Harrison defeated Australian wild card players Jason Kubler and Mark Polmans 7-6 (7-4) 6-4.
Skupski and Harrison played together for the first time in Adelaide on the eve of the Australian Open and reached the semi-finals.
Skupski, a native of Liverpool, played with fellow Englishman Joe Salisbury in 2025 and reached the finals at Roland Garros and the US Open before Salisbury took a break from tennis due to anxiety.
This is Skupski’s second Grand Slam men’s doubles title, having won Wimbledon in 2023 with Dutchman Wesley Kouchov.
This is also the third time in the past five Grand Slams that at least one British player has won the men’s doubles event.
Henry Patten won last year’s Australian Open with Finland’s Harri Heliovaara, while the All-British pair of Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool triumphed at Wimbledon.
