Christensen spent most of his baseball career with the A’s, both as a player and coach. He made his debut in 1998 and played four seasons with the club. Christensen began his coaching career with the A’s in 2013 as a minor league head coach. He served as captain for five seasons at various levels. Christensen compiled a 391-307 record and was named the 2014 California League Manager of the Year and the 2016 Texas League Manager of the Year.
In 2018, Christensen landed his first job on a major league staff. He joins the A’s as a bench coach, a position he will retain through 2021. Christensen has served as the Giants’ bench coach the past two seasons.

Martins has been the club’s third base coach since 2023. He also began his coaching career at Midland, serving as hitting coach in 2015. He joined the Athletics in 2020 as an assistant hitting coach. He was named first base coach in 2022 after two seasons in that position.
