Newcastle United hopes to sign Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga in the summer transfer window.
They have made a £55m increase offer to the attackers, and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can reach an agreement on the deal. According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle has made a proposal to reject the player of about £45 million. However, progress has been made in negotiations and both clubs are now looking to end the transfer as soon as possible.
Anthony Elanga can improve Newcastle
Last season, Elanga was outstanding in Nottingham Forest, and he could prove to be a great acquisition by Newcastle. They rely too much on Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak. They need another high-quality attacker and Elanga will certainly improve their progress. He will add pace, talent and unpredictability to the side. Newcastle has qualified for the Champions League next season and they will be the attraction for players. It’s no surprise that players are keen to join them.
