FPL Rules 2025/26: How does the defensive point work?
A total of 10 clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles (CBIT) guards will score 2 FPL points in one game.
Midfielders and forwards can get the same bonus and will also get batting recovery, which is their total defense (CBIRT), which means they need to make 12 defensive donations to win 2 points instead of 10 points.
The FPL estimates that the defenders who are promoted to the club will likely score the highest points here, while Everton’s James Tarkowski will top the 2024/25 year and has been described as the “most reliable defender asset” for the Defensive Contribution Point (DC) in the recent season.
