Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur: Lineup, Statistics and Preview

Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur

When Arsenal and Tottenham gather in Hong Kong, the oldest and most intense competition in British football will play in the Far East in the far east.

It might just be a pre-season friendly but neither side would be willing to lose to their North London neighbors, which should be a fierce moment at Keita Stadium.

Pre-match praise has been shown in two ways, with new Spurs boss Thomas Frank describing Arsenal as “one of the best teams in the world.”

“That way, it will be a big test, but it’s not just an anti-Arsenal test, it’s not just a friendly one. Of course, it’s a game and we’re going to do everything we can to win.”

Frank didn’t have much time to implement his ideas after the Spurs succeeded Angel Postecoglou, but Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was interested to see how the former Brentford manager would perform.

“I have a lot of respect for Thomas Frank,” he said. “I think tomorrow we will start to see the direction he is going to take with the team, implement his vision, his philosophy, and of course we need to focus on what we want to do, what we want to achieve, and I’m sure it will be a great game.”

Arsenal won two preseason games in the Far East against AC Milan and Newcastle, and Arteta is happy to be able to fight the Spurs on foreign land.

He added:[I think] It’s a good idea to bring football traditions and competition, but at the same time, do it in a completely different country. I think this is great.

“I think this is an opportunity for everyone to feel this because it once again raises the competition for our preparation, which is a different challenge for the game and they will be lucky to be able to play in this incredible stadium with 50,000 people I’m sure to be super loud and passionate.”
