Arsenal offers £60m PL “magic”

It is fair to say that last season was a disappointment for Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta’s side had to finish third consecutive runner-up in the Premier League, and this time they ended up being the ultimate winner Liverpool without having to finally overcome the game.

But while that’s not all doom and melancholy, as it was also seen last year seeing Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri join the first team, with the former making 39 appearances and the latter having 37, he scored nine goals and provided two assists.

However, despite Lewis-Skelly signing a new long-term deal, Nwaneri doesn’t, and if the report is to be believed, the club may sign bad news about the gemstones born in Enfield.

Arsenal’s target star could be bad news for Nwaneri

After entering Hale End Academy, his first team debuted in 2022 and was regarded as one of the most exciting talents of the game, Nwaneri wrote Pen in March 2024 on his first professional contract.

Since then, the young Briton continues to develop, and despite not being a regular first-team starter, he shows a real glimpse of quality, and despite being only 18 years old, he is known by his own name.

However, over the past week or so, reports have shown that conversations about new deals have not progressed as some would have hoped, and the main focus is GameTime.

Ethan-Nwaneri-Arsenal

While it still seems that this problem can be solved, it may resurface within a few years, especially when the North Londoner appears to be planning to sign an international player that could pose a threat to Nwaneri.

At least this is based on the latest report by Sebastien Vidal, who reiterated that Arsenal is very interested in Eberechi Eze this summer, with Arteta “ready to hit”.

He revealed that the Gunners plan to submit an offer to the British, worth up to £60 million, of £20 million, respectively.

It is unclear whether Crystal Palace will accept it, and according to many other stories this summer, the talented organizers have a release clause in the current deal worth around £68 million.

Crossing this line can be a complex and expensive transfer, but Eze proves that he deserves it, even if his arrival may cause trouble for Nwaneri.

Why Eze could be bad news for Nwaneri

The main reason Eze arrives at Arsenal is probably the very simple bad news about Nwaneri: game time.

According to the stories we’ve seen this week, this seems to be the teenager’s biggest focus right now, and if the Palace Star moves to Emirates, he might have cut that down.

For example, while the 27-year-old is unlikely to be away from his right for a few minutes, he will be another established international, and within minutes of midfield he will be ahead of him in the pecking order.

So if Hale Ender wants to gain more experience in the role, many think his final script, he will need to be better than Martin Odegaard and Greenwich-born Ace, based on his last season’s form, it seems like a tough inquiry.

For example, called 14 goals by expert Micah Richards and providing 11 assists in 43 games, this is the incredible “Magic” of the Hawks who participate in goals every 1.72 games.

Additionally, the former QPR Gem shows that he has the mentality of making a difference in big games, scoring in the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the FA Cup, and then scored his only goal in the finals as well.

Ultimately, while signing Eze may not have a huge impact on Nwaneri’s game time, as a backup to Bukayo Saka, it will undoubtedly affect his potential game time in the middle of the park.

So while Arteta and Co should still want to introduce palace monsters, they should do so while seeking more time for the Hale End phenomenon.
