Arsenal is now keen to sign £70m PL striker, they get offer from Chelsea

Arsenal is now keen to sign a Premier League striker with a price of £70m and his club is now willing to approve a departure this summer, a report said.

Gunner’s forward hunt

Although Ian Wright stressed the importance of signing the right player rather than rushing to make any decisions, Mikel Arteta has been ongoing to call Mikel Arteta to sign the striker for some time.

The Gunners legend says: “I think I’m worried [for Arsenal] The most important thing is that you can go there to pay 60, 70, 80 for the striker, but it won’t work. I don’t think Arsenal can get the striker who didn’t run for them.

“They have to get the one they want, maybe that’s what Michael does, and at the same time, he’s trying to get stuck time and again.”

With the summer transfer window approaching quickly, there is definitely no shortage of options on the shortlist, and the recruiting head is searching for a new striker who may be the last part of the puzzle game on Arteta.

However, there are also options in the Premier League, with the Suns reporting showing that Arsenal is now keen to sign Brighton and Hove Albion striker Joao Pedro, and the Seagulls are willing to cash out for £70 million this summer.

Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also interested in Pedro, while Chelsea recently bid for £51m for the striker, although Blues still hopes to sign a striker despite a deal with Liam Delap in Ipswich Town.

“Special” Pedro enjoyed an impressive 24/25 sports

For Arsenal, bringing in a striker who has been proven in the Premier League, and the Brighton star is in that respect, meeting the bill, scoring 10 goals and 6 assists in 27 games during the 2024-25 campaign.

Speaker Sam Ucko has also been impressed by the Brazilians in the past, calling him a “special player” and he will “stand out”.

The Gunners have now set a new broad target and they can continue to reach the level of Liverpool legend Sadio Mane.

That said, given that he is not a distant striker, it is questionable whether the 23-year-old can take Arsenal’s offense to the next level.

Instead, to introduce a striker who is clinically clinical in front of goals, the Gunners have now met personal terms with Gyokeres, who scored 39 goals for LIGA Portuguese champion Sporting CP in 33 games.
