NHL injuries: Bruins, Stars, Devils, Islanders, Sens, Pens, Kraken, Lightning, Maple Leafs

Connor Ryan: Boston Bruins head coach Marco Sturm said forward Elias Lindholm will travel with the team.

dallas stars: Forward Matt Duchene has been placed on LTIR retroactive to Oct. 18 with an undisclosed injury. Forward Adam Erne was placed on LTIR on Nov. 11 with a lower body injury.

Corey Long: New Jersey Devils guard Dougie Hamilton returns to the lineup after missing the past four games. Forward Connor Brown returns to the lineup after missing the past seven games. Forward Evgeny Dadonov returns to the lineup after missing the past 17 games.

Tyler Baird: New York Islanders guard Alexander Romanov left the game with 28 seconds left in last night’s game after a violent collision with the backboard after being hit by star Mikko Rantanen.

“Well, I hope everything is OK now,” Islanders coach Patrick Roy said. “I don’t know exactly what it was. What I’m saying is, when you see that number, you’ve got to give up. Everybody knows that. You’re not going to get past this guy. I’m proud of the way our guys handled it afterward. No one wants to see somebody get hurt like that.”

Bruce Garrioch of The Ottawa Citizen: Forward Brady Tkachuk is expected to return to the lineup at some point during the road trip. It’s possible he could return next Wednesday against the Vegas Golden Knights or the St. Louis Blues on the 28th.

Shirley Anderson: Pittsburgh Penguins Noel Acciari, Justin Brazeau and Rickard Rakell on the ice before practice yesterday.

Deandra Lukes: The Tampa Bay Lightning activated IR Dominic James and used IR Max Crozier on the IR. Forward Pontus Holmberg and linebacker Ryan McDonagh have been on IR.

Corey Long: Chargers defenseman Eric Cernak is returning to daily practice after missing last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

Mark Masters: Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving said forward Auston Matthews is “improving” and taking it day by day. He added: “I suspect Thursday is probably unlikely… I don’t expect it to be too long.”

  • Mark Masters: Matthews played for the first time since leaving last Tuesday’s game.

Maple Leaf PR: Maple Leafs forward Matthew Nurse is returning to daily practice after missing last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

Luke Fox: Maple Leafs forward Nicholas Roy will miss several more games, according to coach Berube.

David Pannotta: Maple Leafs defenseman Chris Tanev will be reevaluated in a week or two.

  • Parker Encyclopedia: Tanev was placed on LTIR, and the Maple Leafs have $3.3 million in cap space after drafting Jacob Quinlan.

David Alter: Maple Leafs Sammy Blais left the game in the third quarter of last night’s game.

Berube: “He had physical contact and then he was kind of coughing up blood or something, so, he had to go in (to the room).”
