Arsenal are interested in signing Portuguese international attacker Rafael Leao from AC Milan at the end of the season.
According to French publication Footmercato, they are very interested in the 25-year-old attacker, who personally called the player ten days ago.
Interestingly, whether Arsenal followed up on their interest in signing the players’ formal proposal. The 25-year-old is one of the best attackers in Italian football, and he has also proven himself in European competitions. Leo has contributed 25 goals this season.
Arsenal needs Rafael Leo
Leo may prove to be a useful acquisition by Arsenal, and they hope to add quality and depth to the side. He also has ties to Chelsea.
Gabriel Martinelli has had an incredible season and Arsenal needs more options. The Portuguese international can run as a forward on the left side winger and forward. His versatility will provide additional benefits to Arsenal if the deal can be completed.
Leo will be an excellent addition
The attacker was called “the great player” by Brazilian legend Ronaldinho. Without a doubt, he has the physical and technical attributes of success in the Premier League and he may be a key player for Arsenal. Whether the London club can negotiate a reasonable deal for him remains to be seen.
Reports from French publications claim that Leo is different from Italian clothing campaigns, and both parties may take a separate approach in the summer.
It will be interesting to see how things unfold in the next few weeks. If Arsenal takes it seriously to win the league title next season, the offensive unit must be improved. Quality players and reliable centers should be their priority.
