How does the EFL playoffs work?
The EFL play-off is an annual game to determine the final promotion venue within each department of the EFL.
The playoffs were first launched in 1987, separating four teams, which were completed directly under the EFL department’s automatic promotion venue through a series of playoff games.
In the second league, the third-ranked team met the team in sixth place, while the fourth-ranked team ranked fifth in the two-foot semi-finals.
The first leg is held at the lowest team’s home, and the second leg is hosted by the team that gets higher positions.
