Analytics Arkansas Submission JJ Andrews

Few players did well in the first two Nike Eybl games of the season, while Arkansas was infringing on Jashawn'JJ Andrews. 6'6 Wings helped his 16U Brad Brad Beal Elite squad won the Peach Jam title last summer and picked up where he left. I broke the reason why he became a senior player on my YouTube channel:
In the first seven AAU games of the season, Andrews averaged 19.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.1 shares (steal + blocks). He ranked eighth on the score on the 17U EYBL track, counting down on the elite 67.8% real-time shooting clip. He converted an incredible 60.7% (41-64) 2-pointers and 50% (10-2) 3-pointers.
What makes Andrews a special talent?
Rare motor skills, controls and touch make Andrews drive-oriented. For a player of a size (reported to have a seven-foot wingspan), he bent his torso close to the floor, stopped, and started a dime, shaking the defender off his shoes. Despite the lack of elite outbreaks, Andrews lives in the basket, making his unorthodox driving rhythm, size and vertical explosive weapons.
While Andrews is not a large-scale three-point shooter, his small sample efficiency is excellent. Andrews will take it and get an impressive fall off 3-pointer, but his pull-up shot is brightest in the middle distance. He is a backup artist who is happy to create large space on dribble to shoot defenders.
His outstanding athleticism and scale have made Andrews stand out in defense, especially on the ball. Few players can match his size, speed and fluidity, which makes him slide his foot to cut off the drive and change direction with a quick handler. Those physical tools and powerful intuition help him jump over the lane and play from the ball.
Even without the feeling of an elite burst or passing, Andrews is like the future star wing. John Calipari has a long history of producing elite NBA players and he can add to the roster. We haven't seen him in college for a while, but as the summer continues, Andrews should rise. There is no doubt that he is one of the top ten talents in the 2026 grade.
