He has been in the rumor mill because the penguins look young during their restructuring/semi-copy. How much is the penguin willing to keep? Who will be interested in adding a 35-year-old defensive player?

Yes, I can see. But I think one big question to answer, if you’re a Hurricane in Carolina, assuming we can get his deal on Eric Karlsson, then his deal is two years left (million). Assuming we can get in touch at seven and a half years old Erik Karlson, this fits our hat condition and still has some flexibility to move forward.
Erik Karlsson, seven and a half years old, then Shayne Gostisbehere, put your power well below that? I think this is a really weird question. Is there a gap between the two? perhaps. But, given Carlson’s age, sometimes, it looks like how much slower he’s slowed down?
How helpful it would be, or how different would it be if Erik Karlsson played on a team outside of Pittsburgh? There is another interesting question to ask yourself, maybe now is a question a team has been asking themselves for a while, because Pittsburgh penguins have signaled to the market that they are willing to enter.
But outside of Carolina, I think it’s very difficult to try squinting and see Erik Karlsson moving forward. Probably not the King of Los Angeles. They have Drew Doughty there. They have the next one in Brandt Clarke. Even if they have the upper limit space to do this, does that really make sense?

Erik Karlsson said he wanted to play for a competitive team. Carolina will fit in molds, but some others will? This is another part of the equation, and Erik Karlsson is very clear that as a guy holding a card, he wants a chance to win. His career isn’t really close outside of his Eastern Conference finals with the Ottawa Senator.
