Aitana Bonmati, jule brand features, adidas European 2025 leather jacket fusion
A unique blend of football and fashion, Adidas has teamed up with renowned London designer Antonia Bronze to create a stunning set of custom leather jackets to celebrate the European Union Women’s European Rugby Ladies in 2025.
Bronze is known for his bold soccer-inspired works that blur the line between sports, streetwear and high-end fashion, and bronze medals designed six custom jackets, each dedicated to the outstanding Adidas-sponsored players, igniting the match in Switzerland.
Featured players include Aitana Bonmatí of Spain, Alessia Russo of England, Jule Brand of Germany, Stina Blackstenius of Sweden, Kadi Diani of France and LiaWälti of Switzerland.
Each jacket is built from scratch and personalized with the player’s name and number. For Bonmatí, Brand and Blackstenius, the bronze medals drew inspiration directly from Adidas’ outstanding kit, Spain, Germany and Sweden, respectively.
Russo and Diani’s jackets have their national colours as the basis, while Wälti’s work is based on the design of the official competition dance of Adidas Konektis, which she launched earlier this year.
Speaking about the project, Bronze said: “This project is special to me and I love to do a storytelling clip. So it’s surreal to have the opportunity to create a variety of gamers’ suites unique.”
The jacket revolves around the UEFA Women’s European European Cup 2025 quarterfinal debut, worn by the players themselves (including Bonmatí and Brand) along with content creators such as Adryana Ruiz, Anja Nikoloff and Lina Sophie.
Unfortunately, jackets are still a creation for fans – retail is not available. For now, they are still exclusive works of wearable art, admired from afar, but deeply rooted in the stories of the players they represent.
