Adelaide International: Novak Djokovic ‘not physically ready’ to play ahead of Australian Open

Earlier, three-time Australian Open finalist Daniil Medvedev called for the tournament to be moved forward with night matches.
The match starts at 19:00 local time, with two games scheduled to be played at Rod Laver Arena and Margaret Court Arena.
Djokovic and Andy Murray have previously spoken about the late result in the Melbourne match, with Murray describing his 04:05am score in 2023 as a “farce”.
Medvedev, who was beaten by Tian Xin in a match that ended at 2:55am local time, said he was “happy” to play the night match but that the schedule change was “better for everyone”.
“I love football, but here [in Australia] I’m not watching the Premier League because it’s two o’clock in the morning.
“It’s pretty much the same thing – people who really love tennis want to watch the match at six o’clock because they’ll almost certainly be watching two matches then.
“Well, if it takes a ridiculously long time, [instead of finishing] Three o’clock, end at two o’clock. It’s better for everyone. “
