Youri Tielemans had a great 2024-25 season at Aston Villa and he still played at a high level after entering the international stage.
Last season, many believed Tillmans was considered by many to be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and he was certainly one of the performers Aston Villa has performed well in all competitions. The form he showed has moved to the international stage along with Belgium, who is currently competing with Wales in the 2026 World Cup qualifier in Brussels.
Belgium dominance in the Welsh, and the Tillman is at the heart of the performance. The 28-year-old ended this by scoring the second goal of the night for the Red Devils.

It was a great team goal from Belgium, and young defender Maxim de Cuyper cut the ball to the Tielemans, who pierced the roof of Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow’s net.
It was a great performance from Tielemans, who added five goals he scored for Aston Villa in the 2024-25 season. Belgium had already been good to win the game as they led 3-1 in the half, courtesy of goals from Romelu Lukaku and Tielemans’ Jeremy Doku.
Aston Villa fans will be happy to see their players find the back of the net again, although his situation at Villa Park may have some uneasiness. This summer, he has the potential to be sold to help the club’s well-documented PSR issues, and the Saudi Arabian club is believed to have an interest in signing him in the second transfer window of the summer.
For now, the focus is on Tielemans’ performance on the court, which are still high.
