With the European football season over, the festival season is officially in progress – at that magical moment of the year, the soundtrack transforms from an ode to a stadium to a live musical national anthem, fans from around the world gather to see their favorite artists perform at the iconic festival.
Few festivals are larger or more popular than Glastonbury. This year, the legendary British Mud Revelry teamed up with Adidas to keep the football in the frame and released a limited edition Glastonbury-themed football shirt.
The shirt reimagines the 1980s classic Ipswich template from Adidas, most notably worn by the Netherlands in Europe in ’88, and has a striking triangle graphic on the front as a tribute to the pyramid stage, filled with colors inspired by Glastonbury’s iconic ribbon tower.
Three stripes of the iconic Adidas extend from the sleeves, while the monochrome V-neck, Adidas Trefoil and Glastonbury’s Glastonbury’s crest are reimagined as football badges, perfecting the retro-inspired look.
This shirt is now available through the Glastonbury online store, Adidas LDN, Adidas Carnaby Street and a select retail partner.
During the festival, it will be customized with Oxfam at the store in the park at the store. At least £10 per shirt sold, along with all personalized benefits, will be used directly to support Oxfam’s charitable work.
