Tucker Barnhart elects free agent

Rangers announce receiver Tucker Barnhart Free agent elected. This shows that he passed an unclaimed waiver after being designated as a mission over the weekend.
Barnhart, 34, signed a minor league contract with the Rangers during the offseason. At the end of April, he was called to the Major League Kyle Higashioka The hamstring of the battle was injured, replacing Higashioka as backup Jonah Heim. For most of the first half of May, Higashioka was on the injured list. Barnhart even fell into the roster once he recovered Higashioka, providing the club with three catchers for a while.
Of course, this didn’t bring much playing time to Barnhart. Despite spending more than a month on the roster, he played in only eight games and went into the plate only 15 times, producing the .231/.333/.231 line in those games.
As a veteran with years of major league experience, Barnhart could not be sent to a minor without his consent, so the Rangers knocked him down from 40 people. His experience also gives him the right to reject direct tasks and elect free agents, so he will now seek the next opportunity.
The fact that he cleared the waiver shows that there is no major league job right now, but if he wants a minor league offer, he should be without a doubt. Now, he has played in 924 major league games, dating back to his 2014 debut. His .241/.318/.351 series has a WRC+ of 78, but he has a high reputation for work and is wearing the tools of ignorance.
