PSG V Inter Match Preview
The curtains fell on Munich when Paris Saint-Germain faced Inter Milan’s European season in the Champions League final on Saturday.
It was an opportunity for PSG to finally win the first European title of all time after years of lapses.
Meanwhile, the International Front tried to lift the trophy for the fourth time after his last appearance against Manchester City.
PSG and Inter reach this stage through very different routes. Luis Enrique’s team was dazzled by their vast, free-flowing football, and Inter’s tactical discipline allowed them to overcome Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the knockout round.
There are more dangers for PSG: they have already won the Ligue 1 and France Coupe de France on historic high notes. The victory in Munich will mark a perfect season – their Catari owners have been waiting for more than 14 years.
For its part, the International Front is desperate to save an event that makes them lack in Serie A and Italy’s Coppa Italy. After three times so close, the Champions League represents the final blow to redemption.

The journey with PSG is not always smooth. Back in November, they were in danger of losing their knockout stage completely, and Enrique’s job was at risk. However, a significant turnaround in 2025 made them an outstanding team in Europe.
The Parisians have overcome the United Arab Emirates’ Anfield and Liverpool of Arsenal, and have also shown courage to stay away from Aston Villa in the quarterfinals.
Now, their goal is to be the first French club to win the Champions League since Marseille in 1993.
For the International Trade Commission, Saturday provided an opportunity to remove memories of recent close misses, most notably their defeat at Manchester City in the 2023 final in Istanbul.
Inter Milan’s progress is not as smooth as PSG, but they showed significant control in Europe, leading the way in 11 of the 14 Champions League games this season, down seven minutes in total.

It is worth noting that both teams went all out in the finals. PSG will only be missing the next Presnel Kimpembe, and Ousmane Dembele will return to the starting XI after replacing it with substitution in the second leg of the semi-final against Arsenal.
For Inter, Benjamin Pavard and Piotr Zielinski have recovered from knocking and are available. Lautaro Martinez has had a break since the semifinals and he is fit and ready to lead the line.
