‘I love you’

Matheus Cunha’s time at Wolverhampton Wanderers seems to be ending.

The Brazilian striker, reportedly played a role in Wolves’ Premier League survival and was outstanding with 15 goals and a great performance in the final third, is on the verge of joining Manchester United, which is probably one of the biggest transfers of the summer.

A deal is believed to have been reached between the clubs, with both Manchester United and Wolves said to have agreed to a payment plan for Cunha’s £62.5 million release clause.

The 26-year-old is expected to sign a five-year contract at Old Trafford and can be extended for an additional year.

Before the expected move, Cunha seemed to say goodbye to his two Wolves and Brazilian teammates (João Gomes and André) and said goodbye by expressing his watch to Rolex. If the team avoids relegation, his promise is linked to his promise, but the heartfelt message is contained in the gift of the final farewell.

“Thank you for all the moments, you will always be in my heart,” Cunha wrote in the card. “I will always fall in love with you and your family. I love you.”

Gomes shares a video of André discovering Rolex in the locker room, then thrilled with Cunha.

André also paid tribute to his outgoing teammates, posting photos of the two warming up together in the title of the season: “I’m sure you’ll shine wherever you go. My friend. May God bless you and your family.”

Manchester United certainly hope he can do that.
