The Consumer Basic Scorecard, conducted with the National Sporting Goods Association, reported on the rise and fall of key indicators, including tours, number of golfers, frequency, demographics (age, gender, and family income), and participation.
The main finding is that the number of golfers in the fifth year in the United States has increased, with 4 million more in the 2024 game than in 2019. Both genders are involved in the basic growth of golfers, with women growing higher, but men increasing more in basic numbers.
The report shows that the growth in golfer numbers is widely attributed to the age of under 54, and the trend of golf attracting young and middle-aged players is still continuing.
