As early NBA draft entrant withdrawal dates approach, we will learn more about stays or decisions. Texas Tech's former Darrion Williams decided to test NBA waters and enter the transfer portal, but he Withdrew his name Start with today's 2025 NBA Draft.
Last season, Williams averaged 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists, making a great Texas Tech team, ranking in the top 50 in Bart Torvik's Box Plus-Minus Stat. His involvement in the merger exercises and melee did not attract his NBA buzz, though.
He is absent from most mainstream simulation drafts and does not appear in Rookie Scale 2025 NBA Draft Board. Williams is 6'4.5 in height and has no shoes, and its 6'6.5 Wingspan is a little smaller than a team that wants to project Williams to the NBA level. He remains a great player and college basketball teams will aspire to.
Which team is the best for Williams?
Isaac Trotter of CBS Sports reported that teams like Kansas, Ohio State and North Carolina State will be interested in the 22-year-old Wing. The Jayhawks added some perimeter transfers, including former Illinois guard Tre White, but Williams immediately became their best wing player. He will benefit from the game next to top recruit Darryn Peterson, whose elite creation and death will make Williams' life easier.
Ohio State added four transfers this offseason, but three were big men and the other was guard. Williams has plenty of room to come in and add value to both ends of the floor. The Buckeyes returned to the surrounding Devon Royal, but they needed more bodies.
Plus Williams will lay an amazing offseason for new head coach Will Will Will Will Will Will Will at North Carolina State University. Not much room on the wings of Raleigh, Wade landed Quadir Copeland and Terrance Arceneaux and retained the entertainment of promising freshman Paul McNeil Jr. Williams, especially to add a different dimension to the lineup.
Williams is one of the best passers on the country's wing. He is a smooth floor processor capable of operating and rolling and rolling from the middle of the column and floor. That pass, coupled with Williams' strong external shooting and creative power, made him an elite college basketball player.

Anywhere in Williams Lands will benefit greatly from his two-way impact. He will have the opportunity to lead him on any team in the NCAA Championship and return to the draft dialogue in 2026.
