Knicks-Celtic Game 6 tickets are priced at $20k

An NBA fan paid an astonishing $20,000 in a seat at Madison Square Garden to watch the New York Knicks play against the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of its Eastern Conference semi-final series.
“The expectation for Madison Square Garden's sixth game at Madison Square Garden reached record levels, making it the most popular ticket in New York,” Seatgeek category marketing director Chris Leyden told TMZ Sports on Friday.
“The energy inside MSG will not matter,” Leeden added, revealing to the media that the ticket seats are located near the middle end of the lower floor.
The highest asking price for Knicks Celtic tickets is $23,000
According to the vivid seat, the average price of the six tickets sold is $1,229, with the lowest asking price in the $600 nosebleed range. The highest asking price on the site is a VIP seat up to $23,000.
“Fans travelled to Madison Square Garden on average 229 miles this Friday to cheer the Knicks on to try to get a spot in the finals,” a lively seat spokesman said.
As for GameTime, the highest asking price in the mobile ticket market is $21,000, located at MSG’s Delta Sky Club. These seats include waiter service and complimentary food and drinks.
Last week, the average cost of Game 3 was $1,956 and the average cost of Game 4 was $1,716, both of which were MSG. The cheapest ticket for Game 3 is $626 on StubHub, while tickets are priced at 4 seasons of vivid seats, as low as $613. The cheapest ticket on the tickpick is also $795.
The average resale price on May 2 was $767 in Game 3 and $545 in Game 4. The cheapest seat is the Seatgeek on Friday, May 9, and it costs $621.
Tickpick announced last Thursday that its lowest arrival price was $706, the most expensive Knicks ticket on record. The most expensive fare available is $54,541.
