Italian Open: Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz open blockbuster finals

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner set up a blockbuster Italian Open final against Carlos Alcaraz by counterattacking US Tommy Paul.

Since the three-month doping ban, playing on home clay in his first game, Sina overcomes a deviant start before overcoming the 11th seed 1-6 6-0 6-3.

The 23-year-old extended his unbeaten match to 26 games in front of a party-club court in Rome and became the Italian men's singles champion from 1976 when Adriano Panatta participated.

Paul led 5-0 to a startling first set success during a passionate game, during which time Sina made 13 unmandatory turnovers with only two winners.

However, the game turned over from the start of the second set as the most popular steam at home surpassed Paul, winning nine consecutive games, and the Americans couldn’t recover.

Earlier on Friday, Alcaraz beat the All-Italian finals family hopes by defeating Lorenzo Musetti 6-3 7-6 (7-4).
