Nick Kyrgios returns to the French Open after eight years of men's doubles

“The French Open has never really been on the card,” Kyrgyz told the Canberra Times.

“But after something with Max Purcell, Jordan was looking for a partner and he asked me if I wanted to play.

“We’ve played at the French Open before, so it would be nice to be able to play with another fellow Australian and have fun.”

When they played together in Paris in 2017, the two entered the third round, especially in the first round, beating second seeds Pierre Herbers and Nicholas Mahut.

Kyrgios won men's doubles at the 2022 Australian Open, while Thompson won the U.S. Open with Purcell last year.

The 2025 French Open will be held from May 25 to June 8.
