Brandon Bielak undergoes end-of-season shoulder surgery

Right-handed Brandon Bielak According to Steve Adams of MLBTR, he recently underwent end-of-season surgery. He is expected to prepare for spring training in 2026. Bielak was released on Saturday's minor league contract with the Diamondbacks after making his all-season injury roster last month.
The injury basically ended Bielak's tenure with Arizona before Arizona stepped down. The 29-year-old signed a minor league contract with the snake in February. In spring training, he worked 5 2/3 frames in spring training and then reassigned to minors. Bielak started Reno twice and three times. He allowed three runs in nine 2/3 innings, with five strikeouts and walking. Both appearances were in the first week of April. Bielak landed on the injured list on April 9 and was excluded from the season within three days.
Bielak has a decent opportunity to be a free agent for the rest of the year. He will be limited to a minor league offer next winter, but if his recovery returns to expectations, he will once again spin it or long relief depth predictions. Bielak, a former Astros’ first 11-round draft pick, has been a starting pitcher for most of his minor league career. He scored a 13 major league start in Houston a few seasons ago, although his 16-place MLB appearances last year were alleviated.
Billac split last season between Houston and A's. He scored a 5.16 ERA in the 29 2/3 Big League framework and a 6.08 in 16 triple A appearances. Now, he has 4.63 ERAs in 204 major league innings. Bielak has 4.37 points in six professional third-level seasons, a nice number for the Deep Starter, who spent all his time in the batsman-friendly Pacific Coast League.
