Arsenal contact with forward Liam Delap

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will sign a new attacker's priority in the summer transfer window.

Just like the last two seasons, the Gunners have lost their Premier League title again this season, which is a big reason why the club lacks the proper goalkeepers.

In the Premier League this season, Arsenal players have not reached double digits.

To address the main problems his team faces, he is ready to step into the market to get a new ninth one.

Arsenal enters the game

North London club reportedly has been linked with representatives of Liam Delap to ensure his service as a support striker to complement a more mature striker.

The move comes after Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta successfully convinced Arteta to reevaluate the club's recruitment strategy.

Under Berta's guidance, Arsenal broke away from his former pursuit of Benjamin Sesko, whose release clause is now over €80 million. Instead, the club shifted its focus to young, cost-effective options in Viktor Gyokeres and Delap.

The impressive performance of the Ipswich Town striker in the Premier League attracted Arsenal's eyes, and Berta sees him as an ideal study of Gyokeres if the Swedish striker turns him to Emirates.

The Gunners expressed willingness to meet the 22-year-old's personal request, but made it clear that he needed to compete for his position, which would likely be a secondary option after Gyokeres or other senior strikers if signed.

Manchester United, who is looking for a new striker this summer, is also related to the actions of former Manchester City players.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca describes Ipswich town attacker Liam Delap as a “stellar player”.
