Bovey Castle Invests in New Season – Golf News

One of Devon's leading golf courses is winning the new season with new golf stores and member areas after a six-figure investment.
The Bovey Castle Golf and Leisure Club, part of the five-star Bovey Castle Hotel in Dartmoor, has unveiled a new area that will complement the hotel's 18-hole courses.
The £160,000 project includes a new store that includes premium golf brand partners such as Titleist, Peter Millar, Cobra and Puma.
Thanks to this investment, the adjoining member area now has additional seating, trophy displays, digital rankings and outdoor seating areas.
The hottest ride range for the latest £40,000 hottest ride, with hotels growing 66% year-on-year in golf membership years under the management of PGA golf manager Rob Selley.
“This latest investment is pointing to our goal at Bovey Castle to create a real golf club experience for all ages and abilities,” Rob said.
“Our champion golf courses and five-star hotel facilities, coupled with professional golfers’ coaching, have really helped develop our membership in recent years, and this latest investment plays a crucial role in attracting golf purists and the next generation.
“We also recently provided a name for our golf club – Bovey Castle Golf and Leisure Club – to reflect that we are not only the top class facility, but also the recognized golf club – which provides us with a reliable platform to build a solid platform in the future to get as many people of all ages and backgrounds out of the sport as possible.”
To mark the opening of the new store and membership area, Bovey Castle will launch its first three-day golf tuition break on June 3, July 1 and September 9 so that adults of all abilities can enjoy the traditional golf club vibe.
Each tuition break is seen with personalized guidance on swing techniques, pitches and putts, then ends with an 18-hole golf ball – plus award-winning dining and two-night stays at Bovey Castle itself.
Bovey Castle for the “Enter Golf” academy under 16 will also host two-hour coaching classes for junior locals and hotel guests every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday during the school holidays.
Dean Gunston, general manager of Bovey Castle, added: “When they live with us with a group of friends we’re growing up, we’re seeing more couples and families attending a round of golf at the sacred Dartmoor Turf.
“Recent investments reflect a very exciting moment at Bovey Castle Golf and Leisure Club as we have done another fulfilling summer for the wider Bovey Castle Resort.”
